Leading up to the big day...
Charlie is constantly on the move! Changing his diaper has become a bit challenging...

Doing his push-ups...

A beautiful day for a little disc golfing with mommy, daddy and Uncle Chippy...
Uncle Chippy gave Charlie his very own disc! Just his size! He likes it very much...

Our very first taste of solid food...

Hmmmm. I'm not so sure about this...

It's always a good time in his office...

A little snooze at the Ymca child watch...

Charlie and I found the BIGGEST praying mantis I have EVER seen on our back porch last week...

Charlie is working VERY hard on crawling! He bent his knees up by himself last week for the first time...

Learning to crawl is VERY hard work...

Watching the Fightin' Phills with daddy! Hoooray!!! We are going to the WORLD SERIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nona and Poppy stopped by to play thursday night before we went to State College for the big game last weekend...

Friday morning, October 17th!!! 6 months old today!!!!
Charlie woke up VERY happy! (as usual...)

A very chilly game day tailgate in State College...

What's with the goofy face, daddy???

Our baby Nittany Lion takes a little nap... So sweet!

Snuggling up to Uncle Warren...

Aunt Loryn is enjoying the tailgate VERY much!!!!

The fun police stopped by to make sure we were having a good time! (you can't see it in the picture, but he is actually wearing a hat that says, "FUN POLICE"! He was passing out some very funny stickers in exchange for donations for charity.)

Warming up in the car with daddy...

Daddy thought it would be funny to let Charlie taste a hot dog... Mommy was not as amused...

A nap time snuggle with mommy...

Charlie meets the Penn State Nittany Lion!!!!!!!

Charlie and Lauren...

Jeff got to meet up with two of his former students...

When everyone went into the stadium, Charlie and I went back to Mr. and Mrs. Nedwick's house to watch the game.
Penn State 46, Michigan 17!!!!! Not this year Michigan!!!!!! GO PENN STATE!!!!!!!!
Charlie needed a post-tailgate nap...

Sunday morning we needed to get on the road early. Yes, another nap in the car...
Thank again, Mr. and Mrs. Nedwick (and Loryn) for another fun tailgate!

When we got home, Nona and aunt Krissy picked us up to go pumpkin pickin'!!!!!
Charlie enjoyed his first ever hay ride to the pumpkin patch!

Charlie and Nona pick out a cute little lumpy pumpkin!

We found a nice big round one for Charlie's first Halloween pumpkin!

Daddy carrying our pumpkins back to the hay ride.
It was the most perfect, crisp fall day in the pumpkin patch!!

Later we went to Nona and Poppy's for some hot soup! It was a VERY exciting night...
Charlie made his first attempt at crawling while we all watched! Mommy, daddy, nonna, poppy and aunt Krissy were all in the room to see his first lunge forward on his knees!!

HAPPY 6 MONTH BIRTHDAY, BABY BOY!!! It sure was an exciting week!!

Yay Charlie for eating his first hotdog!! hey, don't you put a bib on that baby?? We go through 20 bibs a day!! ha!!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the obama/biden pics. So funny and cute!
What a snuggly little cutie pie. Happy 1/2 year birthday!!
Charlie-
Just a few random (the norm for me) comments from Uncle Chippy:
Push ups - You're too young to be buff, cut back on the push ups
Disc Golf - I have to admit, glad Mommy didn't post that you beat me at disc golf that day.
Your Office - supper sweet! Do you mind me asking where you got it, I'm looking to do a makeover on my office.
Chucks- your chucks are hot! Do me a favor, keep an eye out for a pair for me. You know nap time at the Y, lets just say one of the other kids takes a nap with his chucks on and wakes up in socks. Sorry kid, haven't seen your shoes. Hooray, Chucks for Chips. I like the ring to that.... that'll be our code name for the operation.
"Praying" Mantis- It's obvious to any Catholic that that mantis is not praying. 13 Years of Catholic school ingrained in me that prayer can only occur between the hours of 4:30 Sat night and 12:00 noon Sunday within the walls of a Catholic Church. I'll give the mantis the benefit of the doubt that the photo was taken within the prescribed holy hours but I think that it's obvious that it's not at mass. Therefore, I feel it's a stretch to call it praying.... Darn Liberal Protestants
Your Hair - Yep, it's coming in nice. Let me give you a few cheesy lines to use ... for example on Daddy, Uncle Warren or Poppy where you have more hair then them combined.... "Don't call mine a Due, just 'cause yours don't"
PSU Tailgating - I think that you're going to get to know that place well. There is a chance that you may grow up to think that the words tailgating and family reunion are synonymous.
You and the Nittany Lion - FYI, I am pretty sure that the one holding you wasn't a real lion. Take note...there are two sets of teeth. My theory, it was an impostor trying to rob you of your cute outfit.
Pumpkins & Equal Rights - I give you props, I too am a huge supporter of equal rights for pumpkins. I think that your photo would make a great campaign photo. However, you may want to consider a re-shoot and add a few more colors to support you pledge to Gourd Diversity.
That's all for now... Keep up the good work.
P.S. Can you please step-up your "Crawling" training? Uncle Chippy would like to the annual Hole-in-the-Wall Pub Crawl on November 26th and I may need your help toward the end of the night.
